Frequently Asked Questions

How do I create an account?

Download Claridad from the App Store, open it, and tap "Sign Up". Create an account using your email address and a password. It's free to get started — no credit card required.

I forgot my password.

On the sign-in screen, tap "Forgot password?" and enter the email address you used to sign up. You'll receive a password reset link in your inbox. If you don't see it within a few minutes, check your spam folder.

How do I delete my account?

You can request deletion inside the app: go to Settings (the last tab) and tap "Delete my account", then confirm. A platform administrator permanently deletes your account, progress, vocabulary, and learning history within 30 days of your request. Your account stays available, and you can withdraw the request, until an administrator starts processing it; once processing starts you are signed out and cannot sign in again. This cannot be undone. If you are unable to sign in, email us at ilja.niciejewski@gmail.com from the address linked to your account with the subject "Delete my account" — the 30 days begin once we have verified the request came from you and accepted it.

Audio is not playing or sounds distorted.

First, check that your device is not on silent mode and that the volume is turned up. Audio requires an internet connection the first time a word is played. If audio still doesn't work, try closing and reopening the app. Reinstalling usually resolves issues caused by a corrupted cache.

Does Claridad work offline?

Claridad requires an internet connection to load lessons, sync your progress, and stream audio. Your streak, XP, and vocabulary progress are saved locally so the app feels fast, but new content needs to be fetched online.

Where can I see my progress?

Open the Settings screen to see your current streak, total XP, and the number of words you've unlocked. The Home screen shows course completion and per-lesson progress bars.

How do flashcards and the dictionary work?

The Dictionary screen lets you browse vocabulary by tag, tap any word to hear native audio, and switch between list and flashcard view. Flashcards flip to reveal the translation and play audio from the front face.

How do I change the interface language?

Go to the Settings screen and use the language toggle to switch between English and Russian. Your learning content (Spanish) stays the same.

How do I report a bug or incorrect content?

Email us at ilja.niciejewski@gmail.com with a description of the issue and, if possible, a screenshot and your device model. We aim to respond within 2 business days.
